About Ron PictureAbout Me

My creative passion is digital media!  Exploring, teaching and developing it. Currently I am focusing on a variety of subjects including video editing, motion graphics, HTML 5, JQuery, and Actionscript/AIR for mobile development.

I earned my BA at The Evergreen State College in 1991 and a Master of Education from the University of Washington in 2005. While at Evergreen I studied film, computer science, and multimedia. After graduating from Evergreen I operated my own business for several years teaching puppet and clay animation. The emphasis of my master degree was on instructional design and interactive media as it relates to education. For my thesis project I developed an educational animated kiosk for the Museum of Radio and Electricity in Bellingham, Wa. It was on display for over six years from 2005-2011.

Recently I have continued to teach at Bellevue College, contract with a variety of clients to develop media content, and work with Louise Amandes to produce independent films and interactive media. A web site of our work is located at: Currently we are producing a documentary about Pacific Northwest cartoonists and comic artists (Bezango, WA). We are honored that in 2012 our film made the short list, 11 out of 46 films submitted, for the Northwest Film Forum Film Grant Award. Our films have been accepted to multiple film festivals including (Northwest Projections, The Seattle True Independent Festival, and the Black Rock Film Festival).
